Golfer’s Crossing at The Water’s Edge
The community of Golfer’s Crossing consists of 45 luxury single-family homes, in one of the best locations on Smith Mountain Lake. They are situated around three beautiful coves, with holes 11and 12 of the Water’s Edge Country Club golf course running through the grounds. These homes are built with New England cottage architecture in mind, on two or three levels, ranging from 2,250 to 3,600 square feet.
Built fairly recently, the homes feature neotraditional designs that blend the best of classic styles with today’s advanced materials and building techniques. The homes have hardwood floors, granite kitchen counters, double ovens and some have double garages. Properties at Golfer’s Crossing are also designed to be maintenance free and eco-friendly. Every home has its own boat slip and 24 of the homes are directly on water, sharing a dock with their next door neighbor; all have deeded covered boat lifts.
The homes’ exteriors are gray cedar with details accentuated in white and they boast spacious covered porches. All the outside maintenance is taken care of for you – this includes the landscaped gardens, the exterior of the houses including roofing, painting and porches.
As a homeowner, you will members of the prestigious Water’s Edge Country Club, with its club house that is the community’s central gathering place. The club’s amenities include a junior Olympic sized pool, plus a wading pool with an adjacent snack bar. There is also a very well-maintained equestrian center as well as clay tennis courts, and many opportunities for boating, swimming, tubing & skiing, and great bass striper fishing on the lake.
You can work out at the fitness center in the club building, sample the fine cuisine served in its dining areas, or simply relax in one of the bars. Pre-eminent is the private, beautifully maintained 18-hole championship golf course, which was renovated extensively in 2007.
