Mitchell’s Point Campground & Marina
Another fantastic campground to consider is the Mitchell’s Point & Marina. It has a total of 82 sites; many of which are waterfront. You can also expect full hookups and a direct view of the lake. Included in this private campground, is a private beach as well as indoor/outdoor dining. This is the ideal campground for having a comfortable experience and being able to fully enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mountain Lake. You can find this campground on the Eastern Shores.
Eagles Roost Campgrounds
Another Eastern shore campground to consider is the Eagles Roost. This is ideal for those who prefer more of a rural and secluded vibe. It has all the amenities you need, but the location gives it more of a quaint touch. There are a variety of hiking trails and plenty of wood surrounding this campground. But, it is still easy to get access to the lake. In total, the campground is 40-acres and has 75 sites that cater to tents, RVs, and trailers. There are many activities available in the campground, which include basketball/volleyball, and there is a boat ramp that makes it easy to get to the lake.
